Monumental Agra

"Coming for a Taj Mahal Tour?" Everyone knows Taj Mahal, one of 7 wonders of the world but many people  have no clue about the city where it resides. That city is Agra and it is about 205 Km from Indian capital, Delhi.   Taj Mahal tour is one of the most popular tour in India.

It is very much true that you will have a Mughal experience with the Agra Tourism. Why am I saying like this? Actually,Agra is a well known city from the time of Nawabs and Mughals. This is the reason that you can see so many different palaces, forts, and gardens associated with Mughals. Their culture, love for art and uniqueness can be seen through these places.Agra is the destination which is best known for its “The Taj Mahal”, one amongst the Seven Wonders of the World. This city was the wonderful Mughal capital ofIndia in 1526. The emperor Babur established this city on the banks of River Yamuna. This stunning building in white marble takes away your heart and soul.

Mughals were one of the most dynamic dynasties in the medieval world. Agra is home to the finest examples of Mughal architecture in India, of which the Taj is simply the most famous.

The visit to the Taj mahal, you have to experience it to believe it, picture do not do  justice to it.Taj Mahal is a symbol of Love. All the tourists find it simply stunning!

In present time, this city is one amongst the most developed city in industrial field. There is a huge variety of architecture in the palaces and forts of Agrawhich depicts the art of 16th and 17th century. I have mentioned about Taj Mahal which is also the world heritage site. It is also considered as the charming jewel of India. Then we must talk about the Agra Fort which is another exquisite palace and also famous as fort and mosque. It was constructed from the red sandstone in the year 1565 by great emperor Akbar.

How about the captivating red sandstone palaces in the Fatehpur Sikri? You should not miss this place in any way. It is one of the fabulous places to visit when you consider the Agra Tourism. Another place to mention is the Akbar Mausoleum which is an outstanding tomb again established by Akbar. This tomb is made up of white marble and red sandstone. This tomb is situated in the middle of the garden where you will see peacocks, parakeets, monkeys playing and deer grazing around.

A tour to Taj Mahal is a lifetime experience to remember forever as the historical monuments within and around the city leave the travelers spellbound.

Although it's possible to see Agra on a day-trip from Delhi, the Taj alone   deserves so much more - a fleeting visit would miss the different moods   of Taj, as the light changes from sunrise to sunset.

I recommend the Taj Mahal to any romantically inclined person such as myself, but if you have a loving partner, bring her/him too.

The best time for Taj Mahal tours is October to March.
